Amit Dhir, St. Paul at Chase resident since September 2017, works as a medical practitioner at Chase Brexton Health Care, Mt. Vernon Center, half a block away on Chase Street. Amit's primary focus is on HIV/AIDS primary care, PrEP, and transgender hormone therapy, with his biggest focus on LGBT care.

Amit describes himself as a "huge advocate when it comes to policy, social, economic issues related to LGBT folks." He shares, "I am so thankful to be working at Chase Brexton and making an impact in our society....Thinking back, I almost didn’t come to work at Chase. After finishing my studies at Johns Hopkins I was offered a position in their outpatient clinic and I accepted. I was taking a break in between to start working. I saw a position at Chase, applied and was offered [it] the same day. My heart was torn and it was a hard decision to make, but I made the best decision to walk away [from the Johns Hopkins position] and work at a place where I absolutely love and enjoy working now. This also finalized my decision to live at St. Paul and Chase, which is so convenient."
A three-time winner of the Baltimore Pride High Heel race, Amit enjoys running, cooking, hiking, traveling, skydiving and exploring as much as he can, including foods from different countries. As to what he appreciates most about living at St. Paul at Chase, Amit explains, "I love the feel of a community, almost like a small family. People know each other, they greet you and want to talk to you. We have a great security staff, that make this place so friendly and just welcoming. It’s easily accessible and just overall very comforting to live in."
Amit shares that, since he came to reside at St. Paul at Chase, his parents also decided to invest and live here after retirement. Amit elaborates, "The proximity to local culture makes this building a great spot."
