FirstService Residential has been working diligently to provide residents and Board Members with notifications, webinars, and up to date COVID-19 information from the CDC.
We appreciate your patience while we navigate through these unprecedented times. Please know that the safety and comfort of our residents are at the forefront of our minds.
A few things we have been working behind the scenes over the past few weeks:
Maintenance:
The roof was inspected and repaired. The repairs made were covered under our roof warranty.
Our general and plumbing contractors isolated and repaired several leaks inside several units.
BFPE International inspected our Fire pump system.
The trash chutes were cleaned. We exterminated immediately after as a precaution.
Broken wheels on the dumpsters were replaced.
All BGE rooms have been inspected and debris from prior repairs have been removed.
The freight elevator was repaired.
We touch up painted on the first floor.
Light bulbs in the lower lobby were replaced with 13-watt LED lightbulbs which are brighter and more cost-effective.
A cracked tile was replaced on the portico.
The portico was power washed.
We inspected all water heater rooms for potential leaks.
We inspected the exit sign lights and emergency lights in the stairwells and hallways.
Upcoming Maintenance Projects:
Replace light bulbs in the Laundry room with 13-watt LED light bulbs.
Power wash in front of "The Spot".
Check emergency lights and exit signs.
Touch up paint throughout the building.
Inspect the water heater rooms for potential leaks.
Inspect the garage for potential problems.
Administrative:
We are working on updating our resident's contact information. A census form has been sent to all residents. We also posted a sign by the elevator in the lobby with the phone number for our Customer Care Center. They can assist with updating the resident’s information.
We are currently gathering bids and proposals for future projects.
Following the recommendations of the CDC notices about new practices to ensure the safety of residents and employees of SPAC have been posted and implemented:
No more than two (2) residents permitted in the laundry room at a time. Individuals entering the laundry room must be wearing a mask.
A mask must be worn in all common areas of the building.
For the safety of the front desk staff and residents, a sign was posted to stay six (6) feet from the desk. (Behind the yellow line.)
We designated an area in the lobby for package pick up.
One party at a time in the elevator until further notice.
